Male Breast Reduction

Corrects over developed male breast tissue, creating a flatter, firmer and more masculine chest contour.

Technique: Surgical removal of excess tissue by direct excision or with liposuction. Where fatty tissue is the primary source of over development, liposuction technique removes fat to re-contour the chest. Incisions hidden on the areola (dark pigmented skin surrounding the nipple), breast crease or in the underarm allow for removal of excess glandular tissue and re-contouring. Can include areola reduction. Generally performed as an out-patient procedure under local anaesthesia with sedation; general anaesthesia may be recommended.

Complements: May be performed in conjunction with liposuction to re-contour other adjacent areas.

Results: Initially swelling dissipates in 2-4 weeks, final results appear in 2-4 months. Continued fading of incision lines for 1 year. Significant weight can can reverse results.
